18-year-old Rome man charged with menacing

A Rome man is accused of threatening to shoot people in a home on West Thomas Street very early Saturday morning, according to law enforcement officials.

Police said Keyan I. Fancher, 18, of Liberty Gardens, was in a verbal argument with people at a home on West Thomas Street at about 5:30 a.m. Saturday. While he was leaving the home, police said Fancher had a handgun and he threatened to shoot the people inside.

Responding officers found Fancher walking away from the residence and no gun was located, authorities stated.

Fancher is charged with two counts of second-degree menacing, police said. He is scheduled to appear in City Court.
