Junior B Sharp Musical Club to play benefit concert

The Junior B Sharp Music Club will present a concert to benefit the Rescue Mission of Utica at 3 p.m. Sunday, June 4, in the Stone Presbyterian Church, 8 South Park Row. The concert features 15 talented young performers and works by Brahms, Beethoven, Chopin and Debussy as well as contemporary composers.

Local high school senior Rachel Harris will perform two of her own compositions.

Junior B Sharp was established in 1916 by the Senior B Sharp Club to augment the musical offerings of schools and private teachers in the area. Each year the group ends its season with a concert benefiting local or national charities.
