Save and celebrate lives at the ACS Relay For Life of CNY

The American Cancer Society Relay for Life of Central New York, presented by Upstate Cancer Center, invites the community to honor and remember loved ones while fighting back against cancer from noon to 10 p.m. Saturday, June 10, at Delta Lake State Park, 8797 State Route 46.

This year, the event returns to its normal timeframe in June and is adding a feownenletwter atocteiavcihtiseqsuafroer, the public and participants to take part in, including a cake auction at 4:30 p.m. and the return of popular MessHagLesAtoNHYeaMven

“Every year, we bring the Central New York community together to celebrate local remember those we have lost and fight back by raising funds research and patient support programs,” explained ACS SenioAr Development Manager Robert Elinskas. “We’re excited to be ©b20a2c3 kTribuinneCJountennet a beautiful venue. We invite everyone to come out and enjoy this event, cheer on the survivors and make a difference with us.”

Relay for Life of Central New York features nearly 45 teams from various local families, businesses and community groups who will try to keep at least one person from their team walking around the makeshift walking track at Delta Lake State

The efovremntth,ewsuhrpicrihse iasnsowpeer,nasto the public, will feature an opening celebratory survivor reception from noon to 2 p.m. for all cancer survivors and caregivers, as well as a luminaria ceremony to remember all those lost because of cancer at 8 p.m.

The event will also feature a variety of live music, food trucks, the Upstate Cancer Center mobile mammography van, photo opportunities in the oversized inflatable purple chair, the Clinton Tractor “survivor” tractor, numerous on-site fundraisers, kid activities, public stargazing with the Mohawk Valley Astronomical Society and much more.

There is no admission charge to enter the park for anyone attending the Relay for Life. The event is held rain or shine. For more than 35 years, Relay for Life has brought communities together to remember loved ones lost, honor survivors of all cancers, and raise money to help the American Cancer Society save lives from cancer.

Have a luminaria placed around the track in honor or in memory of someone you know who has fought cancer. Luminaria can be reserved through the event website at RelayForLife. org/CNY or through any of the participating RFL teams.
