LITTLE FALLS Mohawk Valley Center for the Arts invites the public to explore beautiful landscapes by Robert Coppen at the 401 Gallery, 401-403 Canal Place. The public can meet the artist, view his work and share his artistic journey in a free opening reception from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, March 25. The exhibit will be on display through April 29. Coppen lives in central New York and is a selftaught artist who started at a very early age. His first work of art was a drawing on his crib sheet with a ball point pen when he was between one and two years old. Today he has an incredible portfolio of work and Coppen has became a regionalist landscape painter. “What I’m trying to do with my work, regardless as to the medium used, is make the ordinary look extraordinary,” he said.
