Utica Center for Development to host recycling drive
NEW HARTFORD
The Utica Center for Development will host a recycling drive from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, June 10, to support its Homeless Veteran Programs outside the entrance to PiNZ at Sangertown Square, 8555 Seneca Turnpike.
The organization will accept all types of textiles regardless of their condition (all clothing, bedding, linens and footwear) as well as scrap metal, unwanted Christmas lights, returnable bottles and cans, even unwanted appliances.
The funds raised from recycling these items all stay local and help fund housing programs for area homeless veterans and their families. Items can also be dropped off year-round at the Utica Center for Development’s main location, 726 Washington St., Utica.
