HAPPENING TONIGHT: Utica Common Council agenda

The Utica Common Council will be meeting tonight for their bi-monthly meeting at Utica City Hall, 1 Kennedy Plaza.

On tonight’s schedule:

6 p.m. — Pre-meeting conference,

legislation for review and potential introduction in the main meeting.

• Ordinances for the addition of stop signs at Fincke and Grandview avenues and handicap parking on Taylor Avenue.

• Resolution to set the dates of the regular meetings of the common council in July and August, the summer session.

• Bond Ordinance to authorize the issuance of $250,000 of serial bonds to finance the cost of various capital projects.

• Resolution to appoint David

Williams to the Board of Assessment Review.

• Resolutions endorsing Historic Preservation Grant Applications for the Silas D. Childs Chapel at Forest Hill Cemetery and Tabernacle Baptist Church.

• Resolution amending and approving the replacement of the intermunicipal agreement between Oneida County and the City of Utica for Habitability

Inspections to address housing issues that negatively impact the health and safety of adults, children or families in hotels, motels, and uncertified shelters used for temporary housing.

7 p.m. — Main Meeting, common council floor

The council may introduce and/or act on any legislation discussed, reviewed, or offered in the pre-meeting conference, as well as legislation in committee.
