Alice M. (Fox) Russell

Alice M. Russell, 87, of Taberg, passed away on Monday, March 13, 2023, at St. Joseph’s Hospital in Syracuse.

She was born in Rome on December 23, 1935, a daughter of the late Benjamin and Viola (Webb) Fox. On July 3, 1954, she was united in marriage to Carl T. “Bud” Russell. Together they shared a blessed union until his passing on July 3, 2009. Alice was a member of St. Patrick’s Church in Taberg.

She was a very independent woman and did most everything on her own including mowing and weeding her lawn. She enjoyed getting out and about, going shopping with her daughter and frequenting the casino.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and George Russell; son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Lauren Russell; eight grandchildren, Richard, Amy, David, Jill, Ashley, Kristen, Tricia and Stacey; and several greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.

She was predeceased by a son, Carl Russell; and twelve brothers and sisters, Barbara, Andrew, Emerson, Lillian “Polly”, Evelyn, Mary, Theodore, Mariah, Edward, Benjamin, Seymour and William Fox.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held later in the spring at St. Patrick’s Church. Interment in St. Patrick’s Cemetery will also take place in the spring. There are no calling hours.
