Lee man charged twice in one evening

A 37-year-old man charged for a domestic dispute Tuesday evening was taken into custody for a second time that same evening for immediately violating an order of protection, according to the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office.

Sheriff’s deputies said Jerry A. Lohr, of Lee, was involved in a domestic dispute with his wife shortly before 6 p.m. Tuesday at a residence on Harris Road. Deputies said there were several children present at the time.

Lohr was taken into custody on three counts of second-degree harassment and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child, deputies said. He was arraigned in court and was released on his own recognizance, with an order of protection filed against him on behalf of his family.

Within minutes of his release, deputies said Lohr contacted his family by telephone, violating the order of protection.

Lohr was located and was taken into custody again on two counts of second-degree contempt, authorities said. He is scheduled to return to court.
