Larcenies in Yorkville and Whitesboro under investigation

Two thieves wanted for larcenies at convenience stories in Yorkville and Whitesboro on Wednesday are under investigation, according to the Yorkville and Whitesboro police departments.

• A black male stole property from the Kinney Drugs on Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro at about 11:25 a.m. Wednesday, then immediately went to the Speedway on Oriskany Boulevard in Yorkville and stole more property at about 11:30 a.m., authorities said.

The thief was driving a U-Haul pickup truck and fled the scenes heading eastbound on Oriskany Boulevard into the City of Utica.

The suspect is a black male with an average build. He was wearing a black coat over a pink shirt, with blank pants, a black baseball cap and a black COVID mask.

Both the Yorkville and Whitesboro police departments are investigating. If you have information on the suspect, you are asked to call Yorkville at 315-736-8331 or Whitesboro at 315-736-1944. All tips will be kept confidential.

• A white male is wanted as part of a larceny investigation at the same Kinney Drugs on Oriskany Boulevard in Whitesboro from 1:18 p.m. Wednesday, police said. The older white male was wearing a blue jacket over a forest camouflage shirt and blue jeans, with an orange and camouflage hunting baseball cap. The suspect was also wearing a black COVID mask, a blue neck wrap and eyeglasses.

This suspect left the scene in a blue or dark-colored four-door sedan.
