Strong-arm robbery under investigation

A strong-arm robbery at the Auto Zone on Oriskany Boulevard in Yorkville Tuesday evening is under investigation, according to the Yorkville Police Department.

No arrests have been made so far.

Police said a Black male entered the auto shop pretending to be a customer at about 7:30 p.m. Tuesday. Police said the suspect then attacked employees and stole cash from the business.

The suspect fled the store in a gray-colored SUV heading eastbound on Oriskany Boulevard towards Utica, authorities stated.

Anyone with information on the robbery, or who may have been near the Auto Zone or the Aldi grocery store at the time of the incident, is asked to call the Yorkville Police Department at 315-736-8331.
