Scaccia wins seventh annual ben Guiliano Men’s Singles bocce classic

David Scaccia won the seventh annual Ben Guiliano Men’s Singles Bocce Classic held at the Galliano Club last weekend.

The event honorsIt honors Guiliano, who is a long-time member and bocce assistant organizer.

Twenty-four players competed in the double elimination event with awards to the top six. Scaccia took the championship coming from the elimination bracket and having to win two games over then undefeated Paul Louis III in the final. Third place went to Russell Johnson. James Oma of Baltimore, Md., was fourth. Mike Agosto was fifth and Tino Emmanuele was sixth.

Next is the 18th annual Billy Antonucci Four Man Holiday Classic Dec. 17-18 at the Galliano Club. A sign up sheet is at the club.
