Marion Scoville

Marion Scoville, born in Camden, New York, and a life-long resident of Camden, died on November 23, 2021. Marion graduated from Camden Central School in 1948 and commenced her long banking career at the First National Bank and Trust Company of Camden. During her 50-year employment span at Rome Savings Bank, she attained the position of Corporate Secretary and a member of the Board of Directors. During her lifetime membership at Camden United Methodist Church, she was a choir member and organist. Marion took life seriously but treasured many laugh-filled hours with a wealth of special longtime friends. Her hobby room became her sanctuary in later years where she spent many pleasurable hours creating her style of greeting cards. She was a member of the Wednesday Morning Club, McConnellsville Garden Club, and the Ladies Fellowship at her church.

She is survived by her niece, Sue; nephews, John and David; cherished grandnieces and nephews, and cousins. She was predeceased by her parents; and sisters, Clara Margaret and Lucille; and niece, Marion.

A memorial service, with family and friends sharing memories, will be on December 10, 2021, at 6 p.m. at Camden United Methodist Church. Calling hours will be held 4-6 p.m. prior to service.
